The city of Nizams was in for a wonderful surprise, as the Living Master, Yogi Ashwini visited Hyderabad to talk about his new book, ‘Thoughts for the Adept-1’. As Yogi Ashwini will not be giving any more sermons, all his sermons (teachings, as David Frawley, American Institute of Vedic Sciences, chooses to call them) have been condensed in the book, for all to read and assimilate. A weekend packed with action saw the people who had come from different parts of the country to meet the author of many international bestsellers, explore and experience first-hand the deep and sublime concepts and kriyas mentioned in the book with Yogi Ashwini.

A Sanatan Kriya workshop was conducted to introduce the participants to the various layers of the body and enable them to balance the etheric channels and energy centres that lie therein, for the opening of higher centres. Participants reported certain amazing experiences of subtler dimensions and felt at peace and energized after the 45-minute practice, which assimilates the essence of Ashtang yog. The master’s visit also brought in its wake, an energy-packed Vedic Mantra Chanting session, where the sadhaks were taken through the correct practices of chanting, techniques to energize the body and enhance the frequency of chants, access the force behind various mantras, and also the adverse effects of chanting in the wrong manner. Yogi Ashwini explained that mantra is a potent tool in the hands of a practitioner, but for a mantra to have the desired effect, it is important that it is channelized by your Guru. To make them truly understand the power and efficacy of the subject, Yogi Ashwini himself made them undergo a purification process by chanting certain mantras and invoking certain divine energies. The participants left the session with glowing faces and brimming with energy, the atmosphere was charged.

Having dispelled many popular myths about yog and having changed the lives of countless people from all walks of life, Yogi Ashwini is on a mission: to make people experience the real power of yog, in accordance with the Guru-shishya parampara. The master believes that every being is unique and it is an individual journey and therefore yog cannot be taught as a mass exercise. This trip opened the doorway to a higher realm for many.
