This Rudraksha is characterised by twelve faces and twelve lips. A potent bead, it is blessed by Sun. It is also called Dwadash Aditya.
According to Padma Purana, its wearer is bestowed with freedom from all fears and diseases, material wealth and prosperity. As per Shrimad Devibhagwat, the bead makes a person fearless and trouble-free.
Atharvaved attributes Sun to have the healing powers to cure heart diseases, skin diseases and diseases of eye. Likewise the 12-mukhi Rudraksha is said to cure diseases of eye, mental disorders, indigestion, blood pressure, diabetes and problems of bones and intestine. It is also used as a remedy for vastu defects and for countering evil forces.
