Anand Vidyalaya is an endeavour to not just impart bookish knowledge, but also to focus on a child’s holistic development. They are made to learn the importance of nature, of culture, of service and charity, all of which emphasise on the significance of giving back to Creation. At Anand Vidyalaya, children from all religion and castes sit together and learn.

Every festival, every season, every important day has a special significance for the children at Anand Vidyalaya.

Independence Day was no different, as Anand Vidyalayas across the country celebrated with much fervour and cheer to venerate our 66th year of independence. Children partook in a host of activities to commemorate this day: hoisting the flag; singing patriotic songs; performing skits and dances; making flags; participating in speeches, fancy dress, competitions such as quiz, drawing and rangoli; feeding the cows and dogs; dhyan with the Guru and sharing what ‘independence’ means to them.  A huge freedom celebration was organised by the Punjabi Bagh centre where Shakti Nagar, SDA, SDE and Kirti Nagar branches got together at Guru Harkishan Public School to put up a wonderful show where our kids performed skits and indulged in much fun and celebrations.
